Democracy Resource Center Nepal (DRCN) observed the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly Member Elections 2022. Based on the observation of 118 observers at 83 local levels in all seven provinces, this preliminary report has been prepared covering pre-election activities, the voting process, and post-voting activities.

Observation of Nepal’s House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly Elections 2022

Democracy Resource Center Nepal (DRCN) observed Nepal’s House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections held on November 20, 2022. It mobilized 118 observers (60 women, 57 men, and 1 transgender) in 46 districts across all seven provinces. They observed the pre-election environment, polling process, and post-election activities.

Analysis Update 19 – Political Incidents Between February 8 and March 22

There was a significant increase in the number of political incidents between February 8 and March 22, 2018. 73 political incidents were recorded during this period compared to 32 during the previous reporting period between January 8 and February 7, 2018. The increase in incidents during this period can be attributed to the increased activities of unidentified groups and the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN).
