Observation of Nepal’s House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly Elections 2022
Democracy Resource Center Nepal (DRCN) observed Nepal’s House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections held on November 20, 2022. It mobilized 118 observers (60 women, 57 men, and 1 transgender) in 46 districts across all seven provinces. They observed the pre-election environment, polling process, and post-election activities.

Observation of Nepal Local Level Elections, 2022
Democracy Resource Center Nepal (DRCN) observed the local-level elections held on May 13, 2022. It mobilized 70 observers in 54 local levels across all seven provinces for the observation. They observed the political environment, election preparation, candidate selection and nomination, election campaigning, voter education, the voting process, and vote counting. Due to a lack of adequate training among polling staff, and errors in voter lists and identity cards, the voting process was disorganized. Similarly, many votes were invalidated due to the lack of voter education programs, and complicated ballot paper. Vote counting was slow as there was a shortage of counting staff and a lack of understanding about the counting process among them.
Analysis Update 17 – Incidents after Parliamentary and Provincial Elections
There were 47 political incidents recorded between December 8 and January 7, 2017, the one-month period after the completion of the second phase of parliamentary and provincial elections. Of all the incidents recorded during this period, 20 were related to the parliamentary and provincial elections.
